To disable floating resource icons in Transport Fever 3, open the overlays menu at the top left, also called the Data Layers overlay panel, and use its bottom option to hide icons. If “Floating resource icons !?” is your concern, the flying resource icons can be disabled in-game.
Where Do I Turn Off the Floating Icons?
Open Data Layers
Open the overlays menu in the top-left corner of the game screen.
Go to the bottom option
Use the bottom option in that panel to access the icon controls.
Hide the unwanted icons
Disable the resource icons you want to hide. The panel allows you to disable as many icons as you wish.
Look in the Data Layers overlay panel, not Settings. The icon-hiding control is in the overlays menu.
Will Hiding Icons Help with Stuttering?
One player reported smoother performance after hiding icons, and icon-related performance concerns have been acknowledged. This is a reported workaround, without a guaranteed performance improvement.
