Known bug

For Transport Fever 3 resolution settings, return to the main menu to change Resolution if the control is greyed out during play. If the game stays in window mode, try Alt+Enter; a player confirmed it worked. For a blank window-size control, use windowed mode and drag the window edge to resize it.

Why is Resolution greyed out during play?

The resolution control is greyed out in-game. A player confirmed that changing it was possible only from the main menu.

Return to the main menu

Make the resolution change from the main menu rather than during gameplay.

Change Resolution in settings

Open settings from the main menu and use the resolution control there.

What can I do when the game stays in window mode?

Use fullscreen: try Alt+Enter first

Press Alt+Enter with the game open. This is the recommended first attempt for the reported window-mode problem: the affected player confirmed success after a launch-options attempt failed.

Keep windowed mode: resize the window manually

For the “resoulution setting bar blank” problem, another player confirmed that dragging the window edge worked even though the window-size control was greyed out.

  1. Set the graphics mode to windowed.
  2. Grab an edge of the game window.
  3. Drag it to the size you want.

This changes the window size without selecting a preset in the disabled control. It does not establish that the resolution selector itself is fixed.

Switching to fullscreen did not unlock the blank resolution control for the affected player. Editing the game settings file also left it blank. Neither attempt is a confirmed fix for that symptom.

What if the control is still unavailable?

One player reported success after updating drivers. The hardware, driver version, and update procedure are not confirmed yet, so this is an individual success report rather than a reproducible fix.

Status as of October 6, 2026: Main-menu resolution changes, Alt+Enter, and manual window resizing have player-confirmed results; a fix for the blank resolution selector is not confirmed yet.
