For Transport Fever 3 HUD icon stuttering, open the overlays menu at the top left and use its bottom option to hide cargo and vehicle icons. Players confirmed that hiding these icons relieved the stuttering; this is a workaround, and a permanent fix is not confirmed yet.
How do I hide the icons that cause stuttering?
Open the overlays menu
Open the menu at the top left of the screen.
Use the bottom option
Disable the cargo and vehicle icons there. For “Stuttering Issue / Caused by too many icons,” reducing the number of visible icons is the supported workaround.
Check the crowded view again
Compare how the game runs with those icons hidden. One player with about 20 vehicles in view confirmed that the game became smooth again after hiding the icons.

Does cargo stuttering while passengers run smoothly fit this issue?
The symptom “Cargo stottert, Passagier nicht.. Weiß einer warum ?” fits another confirmed use of this workaround: cargo transport stuttered, passenger transport stayed smooth on the same map, and zooming in made the cargo view smooth. Hiding transport HUD icons helped that player too.
Another affected player found that selecting a depot, which hid the icons, stopped the stuttering. These are useful clues when deciding whether to try the overlays option.
Lower graphics settings alone did not remove the issue for the affected players. Do not assume that a crowded-icon stutter requires a hardware upgrade, or that hiding icons will solve every performance problem.
What if hiding icons helps but performance is still poor?
A Mac player confirmed that hiding icons removed severe stuttering but still described limited performance. The workaround can relieve this specific symptom without making the whole game run well.
