For Transport Fever 3 uninstall mods, open Mod Hub, use the top-left Public dropdown to show installed mods, then click a mod's Subscribed button to unsubscribe and uninstall it. This route works for some players; whether it resolves the reported greyed-out removal option is not confirmed yet.
How do I find and uninstall installed mods?
Show installed mods
Open the in-game Mod Hub browser. Click Public at the top left and select the option that displays only installed mods.
Find the unsubscribe control
Locate the mod you want to remove. Hover over its Subscribed button to see the unsubscribe option.
Unsubscribe from the mod
Click Subscribed to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing has worked for players, including a case where the mod's folder was removed.
The disabled uninstall option has been reported even for downloaded developer-made mods. A working unsubscribe route does not establish that the greyed-out option itself has been fixed.
What if the removal option is still disabled?
Use Subscribed — recommended first attempt
Try the subscription button described above when the separate removal option is greyed out. Successful unsubscribing and folder removal have been reported, but a successful result for the original greyed-out case is not confirmed yet.
Delete files manually — not a confirmed workaround
The default Windows mod.io storage root is C:/Users/Public/mod.io/. A complete, independently confirmed manual uninstall procedure for this game is not confirmed yet, including whether deleted files will download again. Use Find and Move the Mod Folder for the separate storage-location question.
If you are also investigating another symptom, use the page matching it: Game Not Launching, Internal Error and Crash Fixes, or Low FPS and Stuttering Fixes. These are separate troubleshooting questions; removing mods is not a confirmed fix for them here.
Status as of October 6, 2026: The greyed-out uninstall option has been reported. Unsubscribing works for some players; resolution of the reported disabled-removal case is not confirmed yet.
