Known bug

To set a Transport Fever 3 FPS limit on an NVIDIA GPU, set Max Frame Rate to 60 FPS for transportfever3.exe in NVIDIA Control Panel or the NVIDIA App. This is a workaround if you want to lock fps for more stability; an in-game limiter and an FPS-cap launch option are not confirmed yet.

How Do I Cap the Game at 60 FPS?

NVIDIA Control Panel — Recommended for Detailed Setup

Use a program-specific setting to cap this game.

Open Program Settings

In NVIDIA Control Panel, open Manage 3D Settings, then select the Program Settings tab.

Select Transport Fever 3

Select the game from the program list. If it is missing, click Add; use Browse to locate transportfever3.exe if needed.

Set Max Frame Rate

Find Max Frame Rate, turn it On, move the slider to 60 FPS, then click OK.

NVIDIA App — Alternative Setup

Open Graphics, add transportfever3.exe to the list, and change Max Frame Rate to 60. This also sets a cap for the game.

60 FPS is a reported working cap, not a guarantee that stuttering or crashes will disappear. Exact hardware-load or power savings are not confirmed yet. For remaining frame-rate problems, see Low FPS and Stuttering Fixes.

Can I Use an In-Game Setting or Another GPU?

An in-game FPS-cap option was reported missing on September 30, 2026. The request had been passed to the development team for consideration on July 3; implementation is not confirmed yet.

Linux users have reported limiting FPS with MangoHud, including through Goverlay. Complete setup steps for this game are not confirmed yet. An AMD-specific procedure is also not confirmed yet.

If you need to check hardware suitability, use System Requirements and Can I Run It. If the issue is a crash or failure to start, use Internal Error and Crash Fixes or Game Not Launching.

Status as of October 6, 2026: NVIDIA driver-level caps have been reported working; an in-game FPS limiter and an FPS-cap launch option are not confirmed yet.
