For Transport Fever 3 preorder download unavailable, completely exit Steam and reopen it. If the game still says it is not released, clear the download cache and sign in again. Both approaches have reported successes; neither is guaranteed to unlock every affected copy.
How do I make the download available?
For “Prepurchase game - but not allow to download???”, follow these steps:
Completely exit and reopen Steam
Exit Steam fully rather than just closing its window, then reopen it and check your library. One affected player initially found restarting ineffective but reported success after the third Steam restart. Three restarts are not a guaranteed requirement.
Clear the download cache if restarting fails
Open Steam → Settings → Downloads → Clear Download Cache, then select Confirm. Sign back into Steam and check whether the download is available. A Deluxe preorder player reported that this worked when the library said “not yet available” even though the store showed “in your library” and “play now.”
Contact Steam Support if it remains unavailable
If the download is still blocked after clearing the cache, contact Steam Support. A guaranteed fix or resolution time is not confirmed yet.
Clearing the download cache does not affect currently installed games, but you will need to log into Steam again.
Does the Steam console command work?
The workaround using steam://open/console followed by app_info_update 1 has one reported success. Its reliability for this problem is not confirmed yet. Use the restart and download-cache steps above first.
A store “play now” button did not bypass the problem for the affected Deluxe player: clicking it produced an error. A developer acknowledged the issue and said store operation was largely outside the team's control; a developer fix is not confirmed yet.
